The tournament, was hosted by Kingdom Pickleball Club on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of February 2026, and had more than 200 athletes from across the country compete in 18 categories.
Ashbourne were well represented by Donal Roche and Siobhan O’Donovan who competed in the 50+ Mixed Doubles 3.5 – 3.99 and faced strong competition.
Blathnaid Boyle, another Ashbourne Pickleball Club member played with Brian Joyce in the 18+ Mixed Doubles 3.50 – 3.99. Again Blathnaid and Brian had a tough group and unfortunately luck didn’t shine on them in this grouping
Later that day, Blathnaid partnered up with Therése Behan in the 18+ Women’s Doubles -3.5 and their hard work paid off with them taking gold !!!
The club are immensely proud of Blathnaid, Donal and Siobhan. Their dedication and hard work is playing off.
